De 54ste editie van de Grammy Awards werd het afgelopen weekend in het Staples Center in Los Angeles gehouden. De show stond ook in het teken van het verlies Whitney Houston. Jennifer Hudson heeft hier speciaal het nummer 'I Will Always Love You' van de overleden zangeres voor gezongen. Daarnaast hebben artiesten als Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars en Rihanna voor entertainment gezorgd.
Kanye West kwam binnen met zeven nominaties en ging uiteindelijk met vier Grammy Awards naar huis. De rapper won een prijs voor onder andere de categorie 'beste rapalbum' en 'beste rapsong'. Adele wist maar liefst zes beeldjes in de wacht te slepen. Haar hit 'Rolling In The Deep' leverde haar twee awards op.
