Justin Bieber onder vuur na racistische mop

Justin Bieber is weer eens negatief in het nieuws beland nadat de Britse krant The Sun een oud filmpje van hem heeft gepubliceerd. Hierin vertelde de zanger de volgende racistische mop: "Why are black people afraid of chainsaws? Run n*gger, n*gger, n*gger, n*gger, n*gger."
Het filmpje was opgenomen tijdens de opnames van Justin's documentaire Never Say Never. Volgens The Sun heeft Bieber een behoorlijk bedrag aangeboden om te voorkomen dat het filmpje uit zou lekken.

Justin Bieber heeft inmiddels al zijn verontschuldiging aangeboden. "As a kid, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn't realize at the time that it wasn't funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance," vertelde de zanger aan TMZ.

"Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all those I have offended," vervolgde Justin.
